In 2015, I joined a cross-departmental team at BKD to create a name, brand, and training program for a new women's initiative. This initiative aimed to promote diversity across the firm, with an initial focus on attracting, retaining, and developing women leaders.

At our first meeting, given the enthusiasm around breaking down barriers for women in the workplace, I suggested, "If there's no ceiling, there's only sky." This idea inspired the name for BKD's women's initiative. The marketing department took charge of the branding, while the Learning & Development team coordinated the training rollout.

The highlight of our efforts was the first-ever Women's Empowerment Summit. I was responsible for designing all the event materials, including brochures, PowerPoint templates, handouts, thank-you cards, screensavers, and even a playlist. It was a comprehensive and successful launch that set the tone for the initiative's impact within the firm.
